With such a superb pedigree “Teasel” needs little introduction. Her Dam is by the world renowned stallion ALFLORA who currently holds the Horse & Hound cup for Britain’s leading jumps sire for the 4th consecutive year and whose foals average over 8000 guineas at the sales!  Randrich herself raced and is now Jo’s favourite all-round horse who will never be sold.  “She has the most willing and trainable temperament of any horse I have owned plus iron hooves & tendons so I hope she passes this on to her offspring”. Flora is ridden barefoot and continued working throughout her pregnancy even being hacked out just 10 days before the birth! Teasel’s sire, Knockrath Spring, is an approved ISH Stallion by the 5* American Eventer Hand in Glove out of a Grade A mare Hannon Spring. He is currently competing BSJA and has sired offspring both in the UK and Europe.

A stunning looking horse who came to us apparently hating racing and due to her superb confirmation was actually retrained for the show ring!  Having “chilled out” for a year and achieved core strength through her schooling, we purchased her tried her in amateur racing … and she loved it! 

Her ability for speed was clearly evident and we decided to pull her from amateur status and go back to the flat.  We have high hopes for her.

As well as breeding bloodstock at our stud, we regularly attend the sales to select horses to add to our stock or to select for other investors.  We have a particular interest in selecting horses with quality bloodlines, not only Thoroughbreds but also Irish Draft, Paint and Quarter Horses, Connemaras, Welsh Section C & Ds and Warmbloods. As well as the stock we have for sale currently, we have many contacts and if you would like us to search for a quality horse or breed you a “taylor made” horse from your chosen bloodlines, whatever your budget, we would be pleased to assist.

Unfortunately there was a disappointing response to the competition with the total of entries being only 56 which is very surprising indeed! Therefore the minimum number was not reached meaning the top prize could not be given.  I would like to donate the entry fees received direct to BASIC (Brain & Spinal Injury Centre) to help their cause but if you would like your entry fee returned, please send me a S.A.E. before the end of November and I shall return it to you.
